As dinner service settles into its rhythm, our oriental musicians take up their instruments and the belly dancers step into the lantern light. It’s the kind of evening that unfolds slowly: tagines and mezze giving way to music, music giving way to dance, all of it framed by the rooftops of the Medina and the sky above them.
